Edinburgh Car Boot Sale

In the last couple of weeks I have been photographing a car boot sale which is held every week in an Edinburgh multi-storey car park, for the Reportage unit of my college course. It’s a great place to shoot, I really like the subterranean feel to it. It’s like the murky side of the usually glossy gleam of consumerism. This is where those former items of  aspiration end up, like the graveyard of desire, which I find interesting. What’s also interesting are all the different characters milling around looking for a bargain, or hoping to sell something. So I’ve been trying to capture something of that.
