Red Filter Test

After learning about the colour wheel and the various effects of filters in monochrome photography in class a few weeks ago, I decided to try out some landscape shots using a red filter. I got the chance last friday when my dad and I drove up to Aviemore.

Here are three of shots from the trip:

Result: I think the third shot is probably the best of the three. I also think perhaps the red filter was too harsh, and having had a little read online when I got back (should maybe have done that before I set off) I think an orange or yellow filter may work better as they don’t affect the foliage/greenery as much as a red filter does.
